Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural Development events
  • Cafod Assembly – held as part of our Harvest Liturgy (rucksacks were our Harvest contributions plus No Choctober).
  • Remembrance Week  – two assemblies and focus on SCM relatives in war – particularly display of crosses in Hall. Powerful week.
  • Anti-bullying and Feeling Good Week – Focus on our mission statement; growth mindset; bucket filling; acts of kindness. Also Basketball WOW day (growth mindset); yoga; visit to St Rose’s (yr5) helping problem solving.
  • Open evening for 2019 intake – our identity as a Catholic school and participation by current pupils.
  • Visit to JFK Gym and Dance / JFK visit to SCM Orchestra; Yr6 to the JFK School Production “Odyssey”
  • Feast of Cuthbert Mayne – Mass on Friday November 30th led by Year 3, celebrated by Fr Paul included commissioning of teachers for first time.
  • Advent Service at Westminster Cathedral – Miss Sheridan accompanied the School Council and RE team to Christmas Production – led by Year 4 and supported by Year 3.
  • Caritas Choir – singing at Our Lady Queen of all Creation
  • Mental Health and Well Being week – very much linked to our ethos.
