At St Cuthbert Mayne School, pupils are offered the Multi Choice menu prepared for them by Herts Catering Ltd (HCL).
Children have two options to choose from each day – either a red option or green (vegetarian) option. Pupils will choose each morning with their teacher so the correct number of chosen meals can be given to our cook.
The Winter/Spring Multi-Choice menu 2020-2021 commencing 2 November 2020 is available to download: HCL School Dinner Winter 2020-2021 menu (PDF)
Please note that due to the exceptional circumstances of COVID-19, HCL will continue with the Winter-Spring 19-20 menu options until further notice.
Please email the school office, email@example.com, with amendments to your child’s weekly meal pattern. Please note, this pattern will repeat each week. The cook requires two weeks’ notice in writing for a change to the pattern.
If your child has a medical or food allergy and your child requires a special diet menu, please apply to Herts Catering Ltd online using the Special Menu feature on their website or telephone HCL on 01707 292500. Click here to access the Special Menu application (External website – opens in a new tab)
From September 2020, the cost of each meal is £2.70; weekly cost £13.50. School meals must be paid for in advance, preferably by School Gateway or alternatively by cheque made out to Herts Catering Ltd, which should be sent to the school office in a sealed named envelope. You will see you school meal balance on your child’s School Gateway account.
If your child is eligible for free school meals, please apply to www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/freeschoolmeals or telephone 0300 123 4043 for further information.
Please do not hesitate to contact the office staff if you have any questions regarding the above information.
Thank you God for the food we have eaten. Thank you God for all our friends. Thank you God for Everything. Thank you God. Amen.
Your child could be eligible for a FSM if you……
Are in receipt of a qualifying benefit; and have a child moving from year 2 to year 3;
or already have a child(ren) in year 3 and above.
If your child is eligible for free school meals, they’ll remain eligible until 2023, or until they finish their current phase of schooling (primary or secondary), if that’s after 2023.
Apply by visiting www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/freeschoolmeals and selecting the tab “Apply for Free School Meals (Year 3 and Older”.
(You will need your National Insurance Number or Home Office number to hand).
Registering for a FSM helps schools identify anyone on low income; the school can then claim additional funding from the government, which can help towards extra computers, books, trips out and staff etc.
