It was a very special day on the Friday before half term when the whole school celebrated the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with a lunchtime picnic, talent show and the parents joined us for a picnic tea. We were truly blessed with glorious weather. Prizes for the talent show were awarded on Monday, but all our contributors should be congratulated along with such a wonderful audience. The National Anthem was played by two of our excellent musicians and especially written prayers were read by our Year 5 children. Year 6 should also be thanked for all their hard work as comperes and judges. Our thanks to the PA for organising such a lovely event after school – it was so good to see parents in school.
